PDFL round-up: Moulton Harrox finally drop points in six-goal Sports thriller

ChromaSport PDFL Premier Division leaders Moulton Harrox dropped points for the first time this season as they drew 3-3 with Peterborough Sports Development at Broad Lane on Saturday.

Danny Maddison and Martin Sandall netted the first two Harrox goals, while Ali Morgan put through his own net to give Sports hope. Dalius Kisla bagged the third for Harrox, only for Jake Newman’s double to ensure a share of the spoils.

After nine wins on the spin, Kev Nottingham’s side sit four points clear at the top ahead of Saturday’s PFA Senior Cup clash against the same opposition, also at Moulton (1.30pm).

In-form Holbeach United Reserves are now third after they prevailed 4-0 at Peterborough Polonia. Reif Clarke, Steve Barnes, Callum Simmonds and Liam Mead netted for the Tigers.

Also on winning form were Long Sutton Athletic and Sutton Bridge United.

The Magpies won 2-0 at Stamford Lions with goals from Connor Bell and Luis Santos Barbosa, while Bridge beat Langtoft United 3-2 thanks to David Abbott (2) and Sam Cooper.

In Division One, Moulton Harrox Reserves bounced back to win 5-1 at FC Peterborough.

John Ball, Tom Elderkin, Keith England, Tom Panton and Jordan Clow, who was also sent off, got the Harrox goals.

Spalding Town were also winners, as goals from Ben Allen, Tom Coote and Macauley Grimwood saw off Stamford Belvedere 3-0.

However, the game of the day in the division saw Crowland Town beaten 6-5 at home by Bretton NE.

In Division Two, Spalding Athletic drew 1-1 at Stamford Lions Reserves to net their first point of the season.

Division Three side Holbeach Bank won 4-2 at FC Peterborough Reserves, while in Division Four Holbeach United Sports raced to a big 8-1 victory at Netherton United A.
