Party for village’s elderly

A party that’s been put on for everyone over 65 in Quadring has entered its eighth decade itself.

Every year for the last 71 years the hugely popular Quadring Senior Citizen Party has been put on for the village’s elderly.

And this year was no exception with 97 people at the village hall.

A special presentation was made to the oldest man and woman there which turned out to be

Norman Featherstone (90) and Sonia Pacey (96).

They were on hand to help cut a cake made by Christine Gorre.
