Park Road in Spalding is to be closed today (Thursday, December 28) for one day only as gas suppliers Cadent complete recent works.
The road was closed at its Pinchbeck Road junction from Monday, December 18 to Friday, December 22 as workers fixed a gas leak.
The fix was complete by that Friday and the road reopened, but resurfacing work could only be carried out after Christmas.
It’s therefore due to be closed for most of today, though Cadent say it should reopen tonight.
A spokesman for Cadent said: ” We found the leak, fixed it and reopened the road on Friday (22 December). The road will have to be temporarily closed today(28 December) while the holes are filled in and resurfaced.”
The closing of Park Road, coupled with the closure of Winsover Road due to a separate water leak from Tuesday to Thursday last week, had led to traffic chaos in the town,
