Details have been released on the overnight closure of Spalding Road in Pinchbeck as relief road works continue.
Night-time closures will be in place from 7pm to 6am, weekday evenings only, starting on Monday October 17 for four weeks.
Outside of the evening closures, two-way traffic management will be in place to allow Spalding Road to remain open.
The work has already been delayed and Lincolnshire County Council had previously said it would only start when Enterprise Way opened.
However the council now say that will remain closed throughout the works, with both Spalding Road and Enterprise Way reopening on Saturday November 12 (subject to weather and ground conditions).
Enterprise Way was initially only meant to be closed for six weeks when work started in July, but after a “delay on utilities’ was blamed on the work progressing into October, but it now looks set to be closed for at least four months.
The diversion route for the night-time closures will be via Spalding Road/B1180/A16/A151/West Elloe Avenue /B1356, and vice versa.
Karen Cassar, assistant director for highways, said: “Works at the Enterprise Way junction with Spalding Road are progressing well and we now have dates for when we’ll be laying the final layer of road surfacing for the new roundabout.
“These evenings of night-time closures will no doubt cause some disruption, but we’ll be carrying the works out as efficiently as possible to keep disruption to a minimum.
“Following these works, the focus will be on pressing forward with the new bridge over the rail line.
“I want to thank everyone for continuing to bear with us throughout the project.”
The most northerly of five sections of the Spalding Western Relief Road is expected to be complete in Autumn 2023.
