Families can enjoy a special event at Ayscoughfee Hall next month which will be literally out of this world!
The historic Spalding venue is holding a Space Weekend on June 4 and 5 to coincide with the return to Earth of Astronaut Tim Peake from the International Space Station.
The event will see a mobile planetarium from Starlincs put up in the main hall.
Places for this will be limited and can be booked through the museum (adults £2.50 and children £1.50).
There will also be children’s drop-in arts and crafts sessions (£2.50 per child) and the East Lincolnshire Astronomy Club will be showing a display of telescopes and images.
A talk on meteorites will be given be Helen Gould at 10.30am and 1.30pm on both days, while Richard Pearce will be doing a talk titled “My Sky – things I can look for in the Night Sky” at 11.30am and 2.30pm.
Both talks are expected to last between 30 and 45 minutes and are free, but places must be reserved by calling the museum.
