Traffic lights taken out by car

Traffic lights at Spalding’s High Bridge have been causing issues all week.
Temporary lights have been installed at all points of the busy junction after a controller unit was hit by a car in an incident on Sunday.
“It cannot safely be removed without knowing the extent of the damage to the adjacent wall which appears to have suffered structural damage,” said a spokesman, who warned that repairs may take ‘considerably longer’ than usual because of the circumstances of the incident.
