Pinchbeck school volleyball players take second place in tournament

Volleyball players from a village primary school secured second place in a hard-fought tournament.
The team from Pinchbeck East Primary competed in the Lincolnshire County Volleyball competition after winning the local area tournament before Easter.
They were there with teams from each of the eight districts of Lincolnshire.
This was the sixth time in the last seven years that Pinchbeck have qualified for the county final.
Teacher Sally Robinson said: “Having won it three of these times we set off with great expectations of winning.
“The standard through the years has steadily improved and it has been harder to reach the county finals.
“Our four players Hennie Boekestyn, Charlie Healey, Tom Wand and Kacper Figura played amazing three touch volleyball in all their games and we narrowly lost out 10-11 to Richmond School.
“I was immensely proud of our players who represented Pinchbeck East brilliantly. “
