A donation from the NFU has helped a first responder charity deliver five defibrillators in South Holland.
NFU Mutual Agents and their staff at the local Spalding agency recently nominated LIVES, to receive a donation of more than £6,000 from its Agency Giving Fund.
This donation will go towards LIVES’ ambitious Defibrillator Programme, to support the charity in introducing the latest available technology to their Responder’s kitbag to ensure they have the best equipment to support patients in need of urgent help when they dial 999 in a medical emergency.
Andrew Cross, partner at the Spalding Agency, said: “NFU Mutual has been a champion of rural communities the length and breadth of the UK for over 110 years, and the Agency Giving Fund champions local causes that are working day and night to change people’s lives and give hope for a better future.
“We’re extremely proud to support LIVES’ vital contribution to our community.”
Nikki Cooke, CEO at LIVES, said: “We’re enormously thankful to the Spalding Agency NFU Mutual.
“The money has gone a long way to helping us equip our volunteer emergency first responders, doctors, paramedics and nurses with a new generation of defibrillator that has the power to transform how we respond to medical emergencies, and train for them.”
