New homes to rent are fully occupied

The first homes offered for rent by Welland Homes are now fully occupied.

The company was set up by South Holland District Council to provide rented homes across the district.

It works in partnership with building firm D&R Homes and the Walters Close development in Spalding is now fully let.

“It is a very attractive development built to an excellent standard,” said Coun Peter Coupland, director of Welland Homes Limited.

“We are delighted to see that the development is providing 15 local families with a high quality and energy efficient home owned and managed by a responsible landlord,” he added.

The company is now looking to add to the two and three-bedroom homes it offered at Walters Close.

“Welland Homes is actively seeking opportunities to deliver further investment in new housing to support this growing demand and pursue our ambition to become a landlord of choice within South Holland,” said Coun Coupland.

Welland Homes was established in 2015.

Profits are paid to the district council to help support the delivery of public services.
