Moulton Harrox dropped into the bottom two of the South Lincs and Border League Premier Division table after suffering a five-wicket home defeat against Freiston on Saturday.
Despite a gritty 38 from Alin Carter at Broad Lane, Harrox were bowled out for only 109 after winning the toss and chosing to have a bat.
Stephen Coles and Thuva Murali took two wickets each in the Freiston reply, but they reached 113-5 in 32 overs to seal the victory and 20 match points.
Harrox openers Jack Barnett (13) and Chris Beale (19) shared a 32-run opening stand, but both fell to Daniel Lumley (3-30).
Wickets tumbled regularly after that, with only Carter and Nicholas Cornwell (13) making double figures before they were all out.
Carter’s 38 came from 89 balls, with four boundaries among his tally.
In reply, Freiston lost regular wickets but scored freely enough to get over the line.
Although Coles, Murali and Jack Barnett (1-26) took wickets, Sunil Panjwani’s 21 at the top of the order and Lumley’s 24 from just ten balls helped get the visitors home.
Moulton managed just three points from the match and now find themselves eight points behind Sleaford 2nd in tenth.
Next up for them is a winnable-looking trip to ninth-placed Heckington on Saturday (1pm).
