There were also solid contributions from Vanraj Odedra (39), Alex Sowerby (25) and Will Shields (25).

Ben Shields (3-26), Darren Hibbert (2-27), Will Naylor (2-23) and Joe Griffiths (2-8) then starred with the ball to knock Whittlesey over for 91 in 29.2 overs.

The win keeps Harrox in third place and very much in the title picture.

  • Spalding Town remain second in Rutland League Division Six after comfortably seeing off rivals Long Sutton 2nd on Sunday.

Brandon Andrews (52), Matt Gill (32) and Hafiz Majeed (30) helped steer Town to 186 as they batted first at the Memorial Field.

James Baker (3-61) and Beth Milnes (3-37) both starred with the ball for Sutton, giving them real hope of victory.

But their reply with the bat never really got going – thanks largely to 4-3 from Alex Want and two wickets apiece from Jonah Gill and Jon Manton.

Phil Coote (13) was the only Sutton player to make double figures as they collapsed to 47 all out and a 139-run loss.

  • Pinchbeck slipped to an 86-run loss against Belton Park 2nd in South Lincs and Border League Division Two on Saturday.

Visitors Belton notched up 186-5 at Spalding Grammar School after solid knocks from Michael Paige (46), Simon Martin (38) and Justin Helliwell (38).

Nick Crook (3-45) was the pick of the Pinchbeck bowlers on what was a tough day in the field.

The home innings ended on 100 all out, with Crook (14), Danny Jackson (20) and James Langford (20) the only real contributors.

  • Barry Stanway’s 59 wasn’t enough for Long Sutton against Market Deeping 2nd in SLBL Premier Division on Saturday.

Hosts Deeping made 248-9, with Sutton managing 210 in reply.
