Motorcycle training at Cadwell Park for safer winter riding

Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership is hosting its Performance Plus motorcycle day, a fun get-together for riders with a serious side focused on riding skills and learning road safety awareness.

The Performance Plus day takes place at Cadwell Park on Tuesday, September 19.

“We get 80 riders out on the track and show them how to handle motorbikes in low speed conditions, cornering on bends, and we teach them biker first aid,” said John Siddle from Lincolnshire Road Safety.

“We give them an on-road riding assessment as well and we also do some classroom work with them, looking at crash analysis, incidents that we’ve had, to see what they can learn from incidents we’ve investigated.”

A third of deaths on Lincolnshire’s roads this year have been motorcyclists.

“We know that people who attended our course don’t appear in our statistics,” John said.

The course costs £99.
