Electric wheelchair user (59) dies after road collision

The victim of a road accident in Long Sutton on Christmas Eve morning has died.

MS sufferer Ian Clarke (59), of Lancaster Drive in the town, was in an electric wheelchair which collided with a car in London Road.

Mr Clarke, who was personnel director at BRT Bearings in Wisbech, was flown to Queen’s Medical Centre at Nottingham. He died there on Sunday.

A family member said: “He battled MS all his life. It really wasn’t a fair way to go.”
