It’s the most unexpected things that rekindle the unique bond between brother and sister: an aging parent is one… Alzheimer’s is another!
Some might think that basing a play around this heart wrenching condition would be a bold step, however playwright Tim Elgood was determined to give his own family’s tragic experience a refreshingly realistic and comedic slant in his new work Unforgettable – performed by New Perspectives Theatre at the South Holland Centre on Wednesday at 7.30pm.
With a cast of four, Elgood’s honest, humorous and engaging drama follows two siblings, Rosie and Jed, as they struggle to manage their own lives and realise their dreams alongside their elderly mother’s worsening condition – it’s a funny and poignant play about growing up, growing old and a lifetime of rediscovery.
Tickets are £12, £10 concession or £7.50 for under 26s from the box office on 01775 764777 or www.southhollandcentre.co.uk.
The South Holland Centre is offering a discounted Time of Your Lives £15 ticket which gives admission to Unforgettable and Virginia Ironside’s Growing Old Disgracefully show on June 11.
This special deal is only available from the box office.
