Megan wants to follow family

A relative of Spalding’s first published Flower Queen is among those vowing for the title of Ambassador for the returning Spalding Flower Parade.

Hotel worker and semi-professional model Megan Vellam has applied for the role for the event taking place on May 13 next year.

Megan says she “would like to follow in family footsteps” by applying for the role.

The 26-year-old has a huge range of interests.

She likes sports have previously played football for Boston United juniors and taken up mixed martial arts.

She’s also a self taught make up artist and has worked with The Sessions House for the past two years on the House Of Horrors events.

She said: “I am an avid animal lover and enjoy the time I get with my own pets. I also love photography which comes along with the modelling aspect and I am a creative person having taken up pet portrait painting during lockdown.”

You can still nominate someone you know or yourslef to be the Spalding Flower Parade Ambassador ahead of next year’s returning event.

Anyone over 18 looking to apply can contact Jan Whitbourn on 07779 895388 or email [email protected] or contact Richard Rush at The Voice on [email protected] and an entry form will be sent for you to fill in.
