The talented youngsters from Spalding Gymnastics Academy were on winning form again last week.
The Cradge Bank club won a host of medals at their annual team and individual Tulip competition, which featured teams from Arabian, Corby Daves, Spiral and South Holland neighbours Holbeach and Fenland.
At Level Two, the team of Emma Goodliffe, Amy Loveridge, Serena Leadbeater and Jennifer Platt finished a fine third place to bag the bronze. Individually, Platt won a super gold on bars, while Loveridge also took bronze on floor.
At Level Four, Spalding A also finished third thanks to the efforts of Dulcie Baker, Alice Baxter, Dominika Zuk and Ruby Vertuccio.
Baker followed her team success up with a glorious gold on vault, with team-mate Vertuccio taking bronze on bars too.
Meanwhile, Spalding’s ‘Attilla’ team of Elexi Coote, Colby Riley, Weronika Zuk and Ellie Keeble finished just outside the medals in fifth, but Keeble did manage to win a bronze on beam.
Also competing at that level were Spalding’s ‘Tardi’ team of Sian Matson, Lauren Cook, Gemma Amos and Maddie Redhead, who finished seventh.
Two medals were won by that team, with Redhead sealing silver on vault, just ahead of Cook in third.
At Level Five, there was more success for Spalding with the junior team of Madi Freeman, Lily Thompson, Lucia Kato and Rebecca Fones winning gold.
More success came individually, with Thompson doubling up to win gold on vault and silver on beam, while Thompson also won bronze on vault.
In the junior team competition, Spalding’s ‘Zurel’ squad of Maisie Foden, Emmi Bell, Millie Weller and Danni Garner roared to the silver medal. Garner added bronze on bars.
Meanwhile, the senior Level Five saw of Kate-Marie Parker, Liberty Foden, Miah Farrell and Millie Parsons stormed to the gold medal.
Also winning gold were Farrell on bars and Foden on beam and floor, while Parker landed silver on bars and the bronze on floor.
In the overall competition on the day, at Level Five, both Thompson and Foden took individual, with Katon winning the bronze.
At Level Four, Vertuccio won silver, with Loveridge taking bronze at Level Two.
