Maltby bags on his debut as Pinchbeck United start pre-season with 4-1 victory

New signing Ollie Maltby marked his pre-season debut for Pinchbeck United with a goal as they beat Sutton Bridge United 4-1 on Saturday.

Maltby, signed from ChromaSport PDFL Premier Division champions and Pinchbeck’s fierce rivals Moulton Harrox over the summer, netted in the first half at Knight Street.

Tony Edwards also bagged to make it 2-0 to Ian Dunn’s side at half time, before adding a second after the break.

Nick Bishop also got in on the act in the second half for Pinchbeck, who used 19 players in total.

In a change to their original plans, Pinchbeck are now looking for new opponents on Saturday after Skegness United pulled out of their scheduled pre-season clash.

They then visit Wisbech Town on Tuesday night (7pm).
