Pinchbeck has a lovely new tea room where you can relax with a slice of homemade cake and a cuppa.

Louise and David Anthony opened Tiffins Tea Room in August and since then the business has picked up many loyal customers.

Located in Knight Street, the tea room serves breakfast and lunch six days a week.

Louise deals with the customers, from meeting and greeting to taking all the orders at the table and looking after every individual need, while David deals with the back of house.

Louise’s brother-in-law Richard is the chef who makes everything at the tea room, ranging from delicious savouries to unique cakes and puds.

Louise said: “We like to make everything here on the premises.

“We also felt it important to have speciality cakes and so we regularly have at least one, along with two gluten free cakes and also a cake that is suitable for most diabetics.”

Louise and David have a wealth of combined experience in the catering industry and have catered for celebrities and MPs.

Most recently the couple ran a successful steak and seafood house.

Louise said: “We decided to transfer our skills into achieving a long time ambition by opening a classic style tea room.

“We wanted to bring something a bit different to the local area and to bring back the charm of taking tea, in relaxed surroundings.

“Although we chose to call Tiffins a tea room, we also serve good quality coffee, Fair Trade hot chocolates and a selection of soft drinks.”

The restaurant is also available for private parties out of hours.

Tiffins is open from 9am-4.30pm Monday to Friday and 9am-3pm on Saturdays and in January will be launching speciality afternoon teas with homemade patisseries and a unique selection of teas.
