Moulton Harrox made it a perfect three wins at the start of the ChromaSport Peterborough League Premier Division.
They went third in the table with a 3-0 win over Holbeach United Reserves at Carter’s Park on Tuesday.
Bobby Patterson got the ball rolling with a header from a corner early in the second half.
A 25-yard screamer from Aris Placis doubled the lead and Joe Townsend put Harrox out of sight.
Manager Dave Panton said it had been an “outstanding” start to the season but their feet are firmly on the ground.
“It was a great performance against a very intimidating team at home with a good crowd,” he said. “Holbeach will be up there this season.”
Holbeach’s Jack Smith was sent off.
Moulton won 6-3 at ICA Sports on Saturday.
With eight players on the injury list, up-and-coming Louis Steadman got a start in midfield and performed superbly.
Goals from Townsend and Ben Allen in the first 15 minutes settled Harrox down, playing good football through midfield.
A great third from striker Ryan Wheeler really took the sting out of ICA.
However, the home side were given a sniff when a “weak” penalty was converted, giving new goalkeeper signing Andy Stukes no chance.
But in-form winger Allen soon hammered his second of the game to make it 4-1.
In warm conditions with players getting tired, Moulton striker Ian Bradbury lobbed the advancing keeper for the fifth and new signing Adam Abell made his debut with a great finish on 74 minutes for 6-1.
ICA scored two as the game closed out but the day belonged to Moulton.
Panton said: “It was another very pleasing result, with great football against a very good team.
“I thought the two debutants Abell and Stukesy both settled in brilliantly and had great games.”
