Magic Mick retains two top billiards trophies at West Norfolk finals night

Mick Cooper was on-song as his West Acre side had a night to remember when they dominated the West Norfolk Billiards League’s individual finals night.

All five finalists came from the club with Cooper retaining the Open Scratch and Handicap crowns.

The 57-year-old (R80) hit a break of 54 during his 195-124 victory over Bruce Welham (R20) and beat Dean Bavister 250-103 in the Scratch.

Long Sutton-based Cooper said: “I’d like to thank Phillip Welham for his tuition and help over what has been a great season.”

Jack Easter beat Rochy Woods 207-117 in the Junior final at King’s Lynn’s Maltings Q Club – where Clive Scott and Peter Cooper were referees.
