Long Sutton pensioner had 1.5 million indecent images including of children and animals

A court has heard that a 66 year old Long Sutton man had a million and a half pornographic and indecent images on his computer and other devices within the home.

Ian Stuart Bradbury, 66, of Roman Bank admitted three charges relating to 330 category A (the most serious), 419 category B and 45,736 category C indecent photographs of children, both still and moving.

He also admitted possessing 755 still and moving prohibited images of children and 75 still and moving images of persons engaged in pornographic acts with animals.

All the offences were said to have taken place between March 7 2014 and August 22 2019.

Prosecuting at Boston Magistrates Court, Kate Minihane said a total of a million and a half images were recovered from his various devices and that the charges related to a representative sample.

She said he admitted to the police that he would feel guilty and delete some images before downloading more.

The magistrates said their sentencing powers were not sufficient to sentence Bradbury and sent the case to Lincoln Crown Court for sentence on a date to be arranged and ordered a pre-sentence report from the Probation Service.

Bradbury was granted unconditional bail.
