LETTERS – Watching the traffic go by

The people of Spalding and those visiting need to up their game, I was sat on the wall outside the vets in Kirton and for around 40 minutes not one driver was seen using their phone, only two seemed to be slightly above the speed limit – I’m guessing at this though as I have no speed gun.

I also saw three cyclists who were all using the road, I could not find fault, until I came home I stood outside my home on Park Road for about 30 minutes and saw two adults cycling on the path and two on the road where they should be.

I also saw two drivers reading text messages and two with their phone stuck to their ear.

All four were women, and they are said to be at lower risk from accident’s than men.

I think that needs reviewing by the insurance companies and Spalding police need to up their game.
