LETTERS – Tories supported my business

i want to support the Conservative party; I feel it is important as they helped and supported me over the last few years to survive as a business and not fail during the COVID-19 pandemic. The entertainment and hospitality businesses suffered badly, many losing their businesses as they couldn’t open again when the restrictions were lifted, and people tried to get back to normal.
The Conservative party saved me, we tried hard throughout the time to cater for the essential frontline workers, the homeless, the vulnerable and during this time some of my staff were furloughed. The council looked after us as much as they could and the local businesses in the area, often many had low wages and very few benefits but were grateful to still have a job of some sort. My staff adapted themselves to anything they could do around the business, and this was encouraged by many members of the council, supporting the young people as well as the old to get through, always ringing to see how we were getting on.
We must not forget the weekly bin collections, road repairs, new investment to cutting crime, Conservative councillors are vital to the future of their local communities, they have a record of providing better services and charging less council tax. Millions of people across the country will decide who runs their local council, we need to keep getting the Conservative message out to them.
Many councillors helped to protect the health and wellbeing of us all throughout, they provided grants, reduction in our rates and VAT, supported us to help keep our businesses alive.
My staff, vulnerable people and the homeless were offered shelter to the end of the crisis, endless support was given, without this Conservative council my business would not have survived.
