Great turnout for start of new season

The new season is officially up and running at Spalding Golf Club – and they got into the swing of things with an action-packed event.

Taking advantage of excellent conditions at the Surfleet course, the first event of the season was a Senior and Ladies’ Florida Scramble event, albeit with a twist.
Some 56 players took part in the event, with the eventual winning team being made up of N Wilkinson, P Jullien, A Tasker and A Wilson.
The prizes on the day were presented by this season’s captains Trevor Chinery (seniors’ section) and Jackie Bailey-Scott (ladies’ section).
Next up for Spalding Seniors is a clash with Boston on March 31.
