Letters – Road crossing is more dangerous

Recently in The Voice it stated that permission to build houses on the existing site at Battlefields Lane had been refused due to people having to cross the A17 to access facilities, etc.

Two councillors were the main objectors. Where were these two councillors when Mrs Paula Hayes collected over 800 signatures from local people because of danger crossing the road? She could have done with their support.

I, like a lot of local people, think the changes made to the crossing at Boston Road roundabout mean it is more dangerous than before. The crossing from Boston Road North to Cherry Tree Lane is just where traffic from the A17 turns into Boston Road North, mostly not giving a signal.

I notice some people are still using the old crossing while the path has been moved and is mostly mud.

Then when did Lincolnshire County Council ever listen to local people over issues like this? Never in all my time living in this area.
