I despair at SHDC’s so ‘tomorrow will do’ attitude.
I asked if we could have some money from the Welcome Back Fund to replace the prominently placed planter near Longstaff’s in the town centre but was told no as the money was not meant for that purpose.
I would have thought that all efforts should have been made before now to do some serious welcome back to town.
Did any of you notice anything in Spalding town centre last Saturday?
Jubilee or Love your Local market? Last Saturday was end of the Love Your Local market fortnight. Stall holders displayed some banners and flags but no sign of the council providing some of the things various committees say are going to happen in the Market Place during the year even though last Saturday was special for us to say thanks to our Queen.
