So Lord Porter and Coun Gambba-Jones are trumpeting their four hours free parking. Well done them, but really, they do need to get out on the streets more!
Do they really think this “carrot” will encourage visitors to come into Spalding town centre? I doubt it when people see the amount of fly tipping on our streets.
I reported six lots to the council on Saturday. With scenes like this it shows just how dirty our streets are.
SHDC needs to get to grips with the problem. Boston Borough Council has increased its fines to £400 so let’s see South Holland follow suite or come down even harder on these litter louts and the sooner the better!
