LETTERS – Double standards from police

I was pleased to see in the issue of The Voice on January 21 that the police have prosecuted for theft from two local stores.

I am concerned that a theft had taken place from my own property some months earlier and there was evidence on camera of the offence taking place and the goods in question were recovered from the offender’s property.

It was considered that this particular offence go unpunished. Not very assuring to the general public with what appears to be double standards.
