LETTERS – Can anyone help?

I am looking for information from local residents to help me to name any railway workers from Spalding Station and yard who lost their lives in WW1 or WW2.

As part of our aspirations for the station, the Friends of Spalding Station (FOSS) are hoping to commission a commemorative Roll of Honour in the buildings as a lasting memorial to railway workers from here who joined the Forces and made the ultimate sacrifice for King and Country, leaving Spalding so many years ago and never returning.

There may be some long established local families whose relatives went to war and who are still remembered with love and pride and we wish to honour them.

Please contact me on 01775 640309 with any information.
