LETTER: What’s needed is a better leisure centre in one building

Further to the report “Better pool hygiene is already evident” (Voice, November 10), I no longer use the Castle Sports Centre as it’s not fit for purpose.

I am someone who goes to other pools (ie. Peterborough, Boston, etc) due to the fact one is never able to get a decent swim as it’s very overused, as with the gym.

Has our wonderful council thought about the new schools which will be built for our growing area? Any pools planned for them? No, don’t be silly – our council does not think that far ahead.
I wonder if the task group have used the facilities at different times, or ever?

As Mr Sadd has remarked, we need a better leisure centre in one building, not the worn-out excuse which we have to put up with – or, rather, not as I no longer do as I go elsewhere.
