LETTER: Two new branches of European Movement

Two branches of European Movement in East Midlands have been inaugurated last week: Lincolnshire branch and Leicestershire branch.

The objectives of the branches were agreed as:

  • to promote awareness of the European Union (EU)
  • to disseminate a positive image of European Union and Britain’s role in Europe
  • to campaign to remain a permanent member of the EU
  • to further the aims and objectives of the European Movement by undertaking relevant activities.

European Movement is a cross party organisation, in existence since 1946 (Winston Churchill was one of the founding fathers) with national branches based in other European countries.
Please contact me ([email protected]) for further information about the branch and its activities in Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and East Midlands.
