“Sneering at Corbyn does Tories no favours”. I very much agree with this headline (Matthew Parris, The Times, May 12) and it confirms my reading of the election Tory campaign so far to the extent that now I think they are presenting themselves as a maggot-ridden institution who may be thinking that they, and only they, are most likely to get fat and rich on the rotting corpse of a post-Brexit UK, aided and abetted by a woeful UKIP party whose ‘closet’ support and ideas are fundamentally based on racism.
Any sympathy I’m invited to share with The Conservative Party is now completely replaced by my disgust at the extreme arrogance now being displayed by senior Tories. These are content only to offer a constantly and rather silly slogan that neither informs or enlightens us with its promise of stable government.
Stables often house donkeys… and if this is the only message the Tories can repeat ad nauseum…then help! SOS.
