LETTER: Prospect of Corbyn as PM is scary

It scares me beyond belief that Jeremy Corbyn might be the next Prime Minister.

The very same Jeremy Corbyn who has backed the IRA, doesn’t support NATO, wouldn’t renew Trident, won’t control immigration and wants to massively increase taxes on working families!
So, what am I looking for from our next government?

The best deal from Brexit, with new free trade deals around the world enabling businesses to grow and create more jobs. A fairer society where success is based on merit, not privilege, and a welfare system that rewards work. Plans to build more affordable houses so more people can have a home of their own. Technical education for young people and good school places for every child; giving them all the best start in life. Increasing the NHS budget every year to ensure that every family has access to the care they need. Fighting terrorism and taking effective action against extremists. Protecting our national security and defences. All whilst keeping taxes low.

Only the Conservatives have promised to do this and that’s why I’ll be voting for John Hayes.
