LETTER: Long Sutton Parish Council strongly objects to language used

The Long Sutton Parish Council are aware of the comments about them posted on social media.

We strongly object to the obscene, offensive and defamatory language used against the parish council and the clerk.

The clerk, as a proper officer in the employ of the council, never sends letters out other than with the instruction of the council members. The clerk works part time for Long Sutton Parish Council and whilst not working for the council, should not have her position at the council mixed up with her private life.

As far as the Long Sutton Parish Council is concerned the clerk was working on the instructions of the members of the council in the actions relating to The Ship and the Common Pit.
The original complaint about The Ship and Common Pit was made to the district council, who referred it to the Long Sutton Parish Council for action. No one associated with the parish council made a complaint in this matter.

The Long Sutton Parish Council have pursued all the legal actions they can regarding the Bull Hotel. It is now up to your district and county councilors to take this matter forward.

Coun Charles Moore
Chairman, Long Sutton Parish Council
