LETTER: Charity shops have costs to pay

I am not quite sure if D Loos (Mail, April 27) has been inside the shop in Long Sutton.

It would have been useful to have discussed her fears that the PJ Cat Rescue shop are charging too much for the items she mentioned. We have a lot of comments from regular customers that we do not charge enough.

The letter also mixed up the reasons why some large charities need to charge more, not just to cover the cost that they have to pay but managers that need to be recruited.

In PJ Cat Rescue we do not have any salaries as all our volunteers are very generous with their time and is done for free, including any trustees.
We do realise that items are also generously given for free but do remember that we do have other costs that need to be paid.
