Moulton Harrox 1st took the derby bragging rights with a seven-wicket win over Long Sutton 2nd in Rutland League Division Six on Sunday.
Opener Tommy Sayer (25) top scored as Sutton 2nd made 142-8 batting first at Harrox Field, with Dan Grant (2-12) the pick of the home bowlers.
That total never looked enough, though, as Lance Bettinson (46no) and Karl Hibbert (47no) smashed Moulton to 145-3.
In Division Three, Sutton 1st were handed a seven-wicket defeat by Burghley Park 1st at Paradise Field.
Nick Fisher took 4-24 as the hosts were bowled out for 42, with Burghley making 43-3 in reply despite Rav Sangha’s 2-11.
Spalding 1st were also soundly beaten in Division Six. Ben Clarke’s 52 helped them reach 100 against Uffington 2nd at the Memorial Field, but the visitors raced to 101 in 19.4 overs as Matt Tarrant made 40.
