It’s time to get nominating your own lockdown stars

Do you know someone who has done amazing things to help others during the COVID-19 pandemic? Now’s the time to nominate them for the award they deserve.

The annual celebration of the area organised by Jan Whitbourn was unable to take place last year as a result of the pandemic.

And when it returns it wants to honour those who have played a huge part in helping others during the pandemic.

All of the nominations submitted last year are being carried over and it’s hoped a ceremony will take place sometime later this year. But to mark the unprecedented time, Jan has linked up with the Woodlands Hotel in Spalding to launch the COVID-19 20/21 Volunteer of the Year category.

“We’ve already had some absolutely brilliant entries that have been inspiring to read,” she said. “But we know there are so many deserving people out there who could be in line for this fantastic award.”

To nominate someone who has gone the extra mile contact Jan on [email protected] or call 07779 895388.
