Impressive score from winners

Tydd St Giles Golf Club ladies’ section put on their annual AM/AM open competition recently.
The winning team was Maria Taylor-Vassall from Tydd, with Bev Harpham Deborah Ellis and Sue Adlan from Burghley Park Golf Club.
The team came in with an impressive score of 102 points. Second were Claire Smith and Jane Moss from Kirton Holme, with Nicole Elphick from Sutton Bridge Golf Club and Marilyn Sayer from Gedney Hill Golf Club with a score of 98 points. Third place went to Ruth Simpson, Ann Hobson Pam Hyde and Yvonne Schaffarczyk with a score of 97 points.

Ladies’ Captain Sylvia Illsley thanked all for taking part and was pleased to announce that the raffle had raised £133 for her chosen charity The Magpie Riding Centre for the Disabled.
q43 golfers took part in a stableford individual competition for the Seniors’ Captain’s Day.
Winner (ocb) was Paul Kingswood with 41 points, second was David Leedle with 41 points, third (ocb) Chris Moore with 40 points and fourth Russell Doy with 40 points.
Mick Vassall achieved best gross score coming in with 37 points off a 10 handicap.
