Ashley Rudd stole the show at Chatteris over the weekend as he took top spot in the Schoolboy category of the East of England Challenge event.
The Holbeach teenager, who was representing Team TRM at the Peterborough Motocross Club event, secured two wins and a second place in his three races on Saturday.
That was followed by a win and a fourth place on a rain-affected Sunday. And, with the best four results to count, he was a comfortable winner overall.
Also in action was Ashley’s younger brother, ten-year-old Kieran Rudd.
Racing in the 65cc Juniors category, he had an eventful first day that included finishes of third, ninth (due to two crashes) and third once again.
Despite the deteriorating weather on day two, Kieran held his nerve to secure finishes of third and fourth to ensure he would place a well-deserved third overall.
Meanwhile, Lee Rudd made a very rare motocross outing in the over-35 category – and he was also in impressive form.
In what was his first motocross outing in years, Saturday saw him record three finishes in the top ten (ninth, seventh and eighth).
He only had one outing on Sunday, but did enough to take a solid eighth place overall.
The TRM lads now have a three-week break, with their next motocross outing at Chatteris being on July 19.
