Guest speakers from rail, bus and freight operators are due at this month’s Lincolnshire Transport Conference in Spalding.
This year’s theme is “Connecting South Lincolnshire” and a senior official from the Department for Transport is also expected to attend.
The conference will be opened by Lord-Lieutenant for Lincolnshire Toby Dennis, followed by a full day of activity.
Delegates will have the opportunity to network with colleagues, sharing and learning from each other’s experiences.
The event is organised by The Spalding and Peterborough Transport Forum and Spalding and District Area Chamber of Commerce.
Chairman of the transport forum, George Scott, said: “We have got a first class team of speakers and I would encourage anyone interested in any form of transport to attend this conference.
“We are trying to understand your transport problems and by bringing everyone together under one roof it is a rare opportunity for you to speak out and be listened to.”
Phil Scarlett, president of Spalding and District Chamber of Commerce, added: “With businesses reporting growth in South Holland this is an idea opportunity to get involved and shape our infrastructure requirements for the future.”
The conference is on Friday, October 16 at Springfields Event Centre from 10am to 4pm.
To book a place at £15, which includes lunch, contact Emily Foreman at the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce on 01522 523333 or email [email protected]
