Holbeach humbled by Harwich as run ends

Holbeach United 0
Harwich and Parkeston 2

Holbeach United were downed at home by Harwich and Parkeston on Saturday as their seven-match unbeaten run came to an end.
A Joseph Boreham-Knight double gave the Suffolk side the victory at Carter’s Park.
It was a disappointing showing for the Tigers who saw their opponents leap above them in the Thurlow Nunn Division One North table.
After an even opening Harwich took charge with a 15th minute goal.
The second came shortly after the break.
It’s five wins, five losses and four draws from their opening 14 games so far as the Tigers get used to a new league following last year’s relegation.
Holbeach are back on the road again this weekend with a long trip in the league to the Suffolk and Essex border when they take on Haverhill Borough.
