Henderson strike is mere consolation

Pinchbeck remain uncomfortably close to the United Counties League Premier Division North drop zone after a two home defeats in four days.
On Saturday they fell to a single goal at home to Leicester Nirvana and then slipped 3-1 against Belper United on Tuesday.
They trailed 2-0 at the interval and went three goals behind midway through the second half.
Jake Henderson pulled one back with 13 minutes to go but, despite pushing hard, they were unable to complete a comeback.
The only goal of Saturday’s game came just before half-time when Joshua Nwokoro’s deflected shot wrong-footed home goalkeeper Charlie Wilkinson.
A win would have put the Knights within three points of their visitors and Avi Vieira, Andrew Williams, Elliot Foster and Mackenzie Burdass all went close but were unable to find the net.
Pinchbeck remain 11 points above the relegation places with eight games to go. Although they look to have already done enough to avoid demotion, a couple more wins will leave them more relaxed for the run-in.
Knights v Nirvana: Wilkinson, Floyd, Millar, Dilley, Worthington, Robson, Melson, Burdass, Williams, Foster, Vieira. Subs (all used): Johnson, Jaine, N Stevens, Simpson, Fox.
Attendance: 36.
Knights v Corby: Wilkinson, Floyd, Millar, Dilley, Simpson, Worthington, N Stevens, Melson, Williams, Foster, Burdass. Subs: Johnson, Jaine, H Stevens, Sheriff, Henderson.
