Hard work pays off as golden girl Nikita lands European double

Pint-sized Spalding taekwondo talent Nikita Rudd won an incredible two gold medals at the ITF Union European Championships.

The eight-year-old, who trains with Master Ford’s Lone Wolf Taekwondo at St Nicolas Hall in Spalding under 7th Dan Master Ford, won gold medals in patterns and sparring.

Rudd has trained up to five times a week for the past two years – progressing up to the grade of red belt.

And all of the hard work that Rudd and Master Ford put in paid off in amazing style with her European double.

This success was the icing on the cake for her proud parents, who have seen her confidence grow so much since she joined Lone Wolf Taekwondo.

The youngster has made many good friends and has been overwhelmed by their support.

Rudd is now looking forward to concentrating on training for her next grading and the ongoing challenges of preparing for the next competition.

She doesn’t have to wait long for her next outing, which is BUTL UK Open Championships – whoch are being held at Loughborough University on Saturday.
