Next week is half term and the South Holland Centre has a packed family friendly programme, with a sing-a-long, an art event and films.
Get your voices warmed up and come and sing your heart out at Sing-a-long-a Beauty and the Beast on Tuesday, May 29 at 7pm.
Enjoy a full length screening of Disney’s iconic fairy tale starring Emma Watson and Ewan McGregor alongside all the special Sing-a-long-a extras including a host, a props bag, a fancy dress competition and of course the on-screen lyrics to help you join in.
Tickets cost £15 (£11 for under 16s and family tickets).
Artistic youngsters should go along to Nick Sharratt’s Big Draw Along on Friday, June 1 at 2pm.
The much loved children’s writer and illustrator will share tips and ideas for how to draw your own illustrations, as well as showing how he created iconic characters like Tracy Beaker and Timothy Pope.
Youngsters will be able to draw along with Nick throughout the show so be sure to bring pencils, paper and something to lean on.
Attendees will then get the chance meet Nick afterwards and show him your creations. This event costs £7.50 and (£6.50 for groups of four-plus).
For little fans of the big screen, the film offerings kick off with Duck, Duck Goose (PG), a funny and charming family film following the adventures of a lively Goose and two baby ducklings.
Screenings run from Saturday, May 26 to Thursday, May 31, and includes a relaxed screening on Wednesday at 11am, for families with very young children and babies, people on the autism spectrum or anyone who would benefit from a more relaxed viewing environment.
Older children and teenagers can join the fast-paced action of Rampage (12A), in which an unfortunate genetic experiment results in hugely overgrown animals causing havoc across North America. Rampage screenings run from Friday (May 25) to Thursday, May 31, in both 2D and 3D.
Rounding the week off will be the epic Disney sci-fi fantasy film A Wrinkle in Time (PG) starring Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine and Oprah Winfrey. Screenings for this extra-terrestrial treat take place on Friday 1 and Saturday 2 June.
