Gosberton Risegate speedway ace Lambert set for 2017 testimonial at King’s Lynn

Speedway star Simon Lambert has unveiled initial details for his testimonial meeting at King’s Lynn’s Adrian Flux Arena at the start of next season.

Original plans to stage the event this past August had to be put on hold, but Lambert is delighted to announce that “Rambo Lambo’s Decennary” will now be staged on Sunday, March 26, with a 2pm start time.

For Gosberton Risegate ace Lambert, there will be a very real feeling of “coming home” in March.

A King’s Lynn asset, he has already ridden at the Adrian Flux Arena, either for Lynn or for Boston, across some seven different seasons.

More recently, he has just received a second straight Supporters’ Rider of the Year award not far down the A47 at Peterborough, and was announced on Tuesday as a Panther once again for 2017.

Lambert is currently sworn to secrecy by his Testimonial Committee regarding certain details of the meeting, but added: “It should have some great racing, with a bit of fun and nostalgia thrown in for good measure.”

What can be revealed at this stage is that the centrepiece will be an individual event, climaxing in a Grand Final run-off, with the riding line-up due to be announced as the build-up to March 26 continues to gather pace.

There has already been significant interest in a number of sponsorship opportunities, with details of packages still available for “Rambo Lambo’s Decennary” set to be published in the near future.

Keep an eye out for further updates on Simon’s website (www.simonlambertracing.co.uk), and his Facebook page of the same name. A special testimonial Facebook page and Twitter feed have also been set up as Rambo Lambo’s Decennary.
