Give indoor bowls a try at Spalding’s regular drive meet

Spalding Indoor Bowls Club are hoping to make more people aware of their weekly bowls drive.

The club host their bowls drive at Spalding’s Castle Sports Complex every Wednesday morning at 9am.

Over the years it has proved an enormous success and is now well established, with an average of ten teams competing in a very happy and friendly atmosphere.

The fun competition is open to all bowlers at all levels, with Spalding having plenty of positive feedback from their competitors.

The drive lasts for around two-and-a-half hours, with a break for coffee midway through proceedings.

It has proved to be a game with many benefits for bowlers at all levels – and as entrants play in new teams every week, there is a strong social element to the drive.

The club are urging anybody that either enjoys bowls or simply fancies a go at the sport to join them on Wednesday mornings.

For those worried that their bowling isn’t up to scratch, ongoing training is available at the club on a regular basis.
