Getting crafty at Ayscoughfee

Members of the public enjoyed a crafty cup of tea and made Christmas decorations together at Ayscoughfee Hall last week.

The Crafternoon Tea was put on by South Holland District Council on Wednesday, December 12 and helped raise funds for the charity Mind.

Elliana Nikolaou (3) and Caralyn show off their creation.

Coun Gary Taylor, SHDC portfolio holder for communities and facilities said: “Our Crafternoon Tea was another great event put on by our fantastic community development team and the staff at Ayscoughfee Hall.

“It was great to see around 40 people joining us and helping to raise awareness and some money for a charity like Mind, who do invaluable work and initiatives around mental health. It was a brilliant afternoon of crafting, snacking, chatting and people from the local community coming together to celebrate creativity and get into the festive spirit.”
