The worlds of Elvis and William Shakespeare are set to collide on the South Holland Centre stage next week thanks to Act II Youth Theatre.
The group is putting on All Shook Up, a musical based on the King of Rock’s songs, the plot of which is inspired by the Bard’s Twelfth Night.
A spokesman for the South Holland Centre said: “Elvis’s music comes alive in this feel good jukebox musical Inspired by Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night!
“Somewhere in Midwestern America, a dull town is thrown into a frenzy with the arrival of Roustabout Chad.
“He rides from town to town with a guitar on his back, blue suede shoes on his feet and a song in his heart.
“Local mechanic Natalie immediately falls for him.
“This love is not without its complications but if music be the food of love, play on!”
The show is on at 7.30pm from Wednesday, March 30 to Saturday, April 2. There’s also a 2.30pm showing on that day.
Tickets costing £12 for adults, £10 concessions and £9 for group bookings over ten are available from https://www.southhollandcentre.co.uk/whats-on/view/all-shook-up-act-ii-youth-theatre
