Generous Spalding Golf Club ladies’ chip in with charity donations totalling £2,554

Spalding Golf Club’s ladies’ section handed over a cheque for £1,277 to Marie Curie last week to mark another year of fundraising.

Ruth Felts, a local organiser and fund raiser for Marie Curie, was at Spalding’s Surfleet base last week to collect the funds raised by the club’s women.

The figure represents half of last year’s lady captain’s charity funds, which are raised by members of the club.

The rest of the money raised has been sent to the Anthony Nolan Trust, giving a grand total of £2,554.

  • The first fun competition of the new Lady Captain’s year took place last week.
