Dreadful weather didn’t stop the crowds supporting Holbeach’s Winter Wonderland.

The event, which this year took place in Carter’s Park, saw something for everyone.

Parish council chairman Adrian Haslett said: “Despite persistent heavy rain, the event was a strong success, drawing far more visitors than expected as the afternoon progressed. While early footfall was affected by the weather, numbers rose significantly later in the day.

“Santa’s Grotto was the standout attraction, with a substantial queue throughout the entire event.

“In total, 25 stalls attended out of the 45 originally booked. Given the extreme weather, this represented a well-supported turnout. Volunteers and staff worked tirelessly in the rain, ensuring the event ran smoothly despite the difficult circumstances.

“Overall, it was a successful and well-attended community celebration, thanks to the dedication of the team and the many visitors who braved the weather to enjoy the day.”
